Freedom Mortgage employees across the nation participated in Team Freedom Cares’ Project Gratitude, a letter-writing campaign for active duty military. Over 2,448 handwritten thank you cards with lollipops were delivered to service members travelling through several USO airport lounges. Whether they are on their way home or heading out on deployment, these candy grams show our appreciation for the troops and their service.
As an extension of Project Gratitude, Team Freedom Cares partnered with the Liberty USO to host its first educational program on military service at McCall Elementary school in Philadelphia. Staff Sergeant Jonathon Morris of the Marine Corps and Master Sergeant Earl Scott of the PA Air National Guard accompanied Team Freedom Cares to teach the class about the sacrifices service members and their families make. The children contributed to our candy gram card collection by designing their own cards to distribute to military personnel on Valentine’s Day at local USO Airport lounges.
The Sales and Operations teams in Phoenix, AZ collected 200 candy grams to distribute to the local USO lounge for servicemen and women to enjoy.
