Freedom Mortgage employee Craig Mirek and his team, Sharon’s Warriors, walked to end pancreatic cancer at the Purple Stride Broward-Palm Beach 5K. Craig organized the team in honor of his late wife, Sharon, and his colleagues were eager to help.
“The event raised over $124,000 towards research and awareness to end Pancreatic Cancer. With the help of many of my Freedom Mortgage colleagues my team raised over $2,200,” Craig said.
Pancreatic Cancer is especially difficult to detect and treat. Funds raised for Purple Stride go to programs aiding patients and families, continuing research, and raising awareness. Click here to learn more and donate to Purple Stride.
