In its thirteenth year, the Freedom Mortgage Holiday Toy Drive spread holiday cheer to families and children in need as employees and business partners raised $30,000. Additionally, the company’s president and CEO, Stan Middleman, generously matched donations, rounding the total contribution to $60,000.
The funds were directed to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, The Salvation Army, and Toys for Tots to support their holiday efforts, including purchasing toys for over 1,000 underserved youth during the holiday season.
Over 100 Freedom Mortgage employees volunteered at Salvation Army locations in Camden, NJ, Indianapolis, IN, and Jacksonville, FL, to make the holidays magical for many underserved children within these communities. In addition to volunteering, many Freedom Mortgage offices produced collection boxes, which were filled with toys that were sent to local Salvation Army locations.
Benjamin Ovadia, community resource and development director of The Salvation Army Kroc Center in New Jersey, said, "Partnerships with companies like Freedom Mortgage are incredibly important to fulfilling our mission. Freedom Mortgage is our lead toy donor and is truly in a class of its own. Thanks to their support, for the first time this year, we were able to gift three toys to each child."
